The chart below shows the number of DNSSEC-signed domain names on the first of each month since SWITCH introduced DNSSEC in 2010. A sudden, sharp increase in the figures can be explained by additional hosting providers starting to activate DNSSEC automatically for all newly registered domain names or simplifying DNSSEC signing for existing domain names.
