Domain Names with DNSSEC

The graphic below shows the number of DNSSEC-signed domain names on the first of every month since the roll-out of DNSSEC at SWITCH back in 2010. The sharp increase in numbers in recent months can be explained by the fact that, in view of the DNS resilience programme, several registrars have started signing their entire domain name inventory with DNSSEC.

 


The following graphic shows the percentage of domain names with DNSSEC out of the total number of active domain names (i.e. domain names with registered name servers).

 

How to use the interactive charts

The charts can be downloaded in various file formats; click on the button at the top right of each chart in order to do so.

You can zoom in on charts with a timeline by selecting an area with your mouse.

Some charts with timeline allow you to restrict the time period displayed, either by using the buttons above or the scroll bar below the chart.
